I am confused. In my conversion, I had to use the bell housing from the newer transmission, because the new transmission would not bolt up to the old bell housing. The new bell housing required the key activated starter. If your truck has the key activated starter, it would seem you already have the newer bell housing. So, how is it that the transmission is still a non-synchro? Is there a year when the old non-synchro was used with the key activated starter???
