Duh! moment (was "painted into a corner")

thanks all for the info.

it occurred to me on the way into work this afternoon that there wasn't any reason not to paint the chassis black on after priming and then re-assemble the component. I was thinking about painting the black on the chassis after the rolling chassis was completely assembled.

Paul, can I scuff the primer now and then paint the chassis black on? Should I re-prime and then paint? Hellllp...
