The oil pan on the engine that I will be using in my truck has magor dents in it. It seems that the oil pick up pipe and strainer are the reasons for the dents . The pan was bent and brazed to clear the pick up. I have a nice pan from the old PW engine., but the pipe and strainer from the old engine are long gone. Are the stainers different for other trucks ? I know some cars had front sump pans. My parts book only shows one number each for Power Wagon pipe and strainers. Any one else ever see this problem. I hate to use the dented pan .I dont think it leaks but it looks like it should. No doubt if I use it it will.
