briefly;
the GMC 270 has pressure feed via the crank to main bearings and the conrod bearings, the Stovebolt six chevrolet engine had pressure feed to the main bearings, but the conrod bearings were splash lubed by 'throwers' dipping into the sump - much weaker system.
I was lucky enough to have the Chev with a GMC 270 in it, but the speedometer stopped at 60.... I've advised Dwight to find Dr Deuce on the Mil-Veh list, as he deals in this type as well as the GMCs.
Statutory Dodge content - the TD 20 now has decent tyres on it and is pointing at Scotland. Current plan is to put a jeep in the back 'just to hold it down' for shipping purposes. Any other TD 20 or 21 owners on the forum, apart form Russ ?
