Hey Charlie, you found my engine source!
The guys with the 4BT for sale as bread van cut outs are the guys that I got my motor from last year for my M37 swap. The Foot is located in Norfolk, MA. I got to drive my bread van around the yard before we cut the motor out. I got everything from the bread van except the rear axle and the body for less than they actually list them on the web page. Paul and Bryan are really nice guys, but if you go, plan on spending a day looking at the neat stuff in the yard, and on going by Bob Stahl's place (I didn't but wish I had since it was just down the road).
My motor was a 1990 Recon Cummuns in really nice shape rated at 105hp@2500rpm. Mine had a SM465 with a brand new clutch. They also had one with an automatic, but I didn't have time to play with it. The bread vans on the yard last year came from an Entenman's bakery with really good maintenance from what I can tell.
BTW: Ranger with machine work for fitment to NP420 runs $1700. Mine is working well. Transfer case did not move, nor did stock transmission wich I'm using instead of the SM465, using Co-Op Grip Spur 900x16.
Drop me a line for more details since I still haven't written that article for the PWA yet...
