Befor torching the housing, pull the whole housing out, and turn it so that you can drop it on the end, and let gravity remove it. If it
don't come out the first time drive it back in
and try over. If they twist off even with the
side gear, you can usually pull the diff. out
and turn the broken side down and bang the carrier
with a hammer and the stub will fall out.
