If you want medium duty cooling, go with the 180° thermostat. This will keep it cool enough but give decent heat in the winter. However, if you want it to give out a lot of heat in the winter, go with a 190° unit. I never use a 160 as it's only good to wrm up a little but never get the oil hot enough to boil off combustion byproducts.
