Thank you all for your input. I'm overwelmed at the info. For your info I would like to lift maybe 1000 lbs with the gin poles. I don't know if that is too much. And I already have a 12 volt system. My generator went out and I was told an alternator would be better. Thanks for all that info from Steve.
