Kevin,
Do you have any other info on the 3/4 ton TW?
Are you sure it is a 3/4 ton? Many people make the mistake that because the truck has a high stance and 8 bolt wheels that it is a 3/4 ton, when the VIN says 1/2 ton.
For those of you looking for a '60 and older W200 TW, those should have 6 bolt wheels, and in 1957 you will need to check the VIN, as both 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks used 6 bolt in '57.
Several of the '66 models were equipped with the big knuckle Dana 44 just like the crew cabs, but the TW's with that axle, a winch, heavy duty springs and the 1 ton yokes is still normally labeled a 1/2 ton. I know of three trucks set up that way, they are all ½ tons.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say you didn't see one, but people have told me that they had found W200 TW's before, and I went to look at them only to find a typical 1/2 ton TW.
I have seen original 2wd '61-'66 D200 TW's, but the only W200's I have seen were '60 and older.
I am very interested in any info on '61-'66 W200 TW's.
But just to show the weirdness of Dodge, I have seen several 2wd TWs with 8 bolt wheels(standard was 5 bolt), and bigger springs that were labeled 1/2 tons, but a couple of the trucks equipped this way were labeled 3/4 ton.
As far as I can tell there was no difference between the 1/2 tons with the 8 bolt wheels, and the trucks labeled 3/4 ton, but someone labeled them differently.
If you have any of the info off of the VIN plate, pictures, or any personal observations of this W200 '63 or '64 TW please E-mail them to me.
Thanks!
Eric
