I posted the thread just below this today on the carb problems in
the 78 Power Wagon. I need to make myself clear - it's not
boiling out the fuel. For instance, I can go out right now,
pour some fuel in carb and start the beast up with no problems.
Let it run for say just a few minutes (not even time to get motor
hot) and then cut it off for the day. When I come back the next
morning, the clear fuel filter is COMPLETELY empty and I must
repour fuel in carb to get her to start. My point is, I don't even
let it run long enough to get hot enough to boil the fuel and it
will still drain out of the bowl. And yes, the Carter 2 barrel
on my 78 is stock and the needle and seat assembly lies horizontal
at the very bottom of the fuel bowl - is anyone reading this
familiar with the carb I'm talking about? Do I simply have a hole
in a fuel line somewhere between the carb and the tank that is
siphoning my lines all the way up to and including my fuel bowl?
Thanks for any more help.
