Michlelin 11 X 16 XL wheel width should be?

Bought 11x16 michelin xl's and want to run them on steel wheels on the CHEAPI, what options are available for a 1964 w200 Powerwagon, anybody running them on factory stock wheels from Dodge or are they too narrow??? Will late model disk brake wheels withe offset work with my old drum brake truck??? It came with 17x8 in rotten mudgrips that are no longer made and were to skinny anyways. Thanks
