I read it that she already has the gun and has confidence in it. If she likes it and likes to shoot it, that goes a long way to be ready to shoot when needed.
Heck I think a 44 Mag. stings pretty good and would not want to shoot one all day and I love to shoot.
I would want a larger bullet to go after a lion. I don't go after Badgers any more without 12 g. 00buckshot. I want to win QUICKLY!
I have seen many a lady shoot 9mm and such as they don't recoil badly and lead to the dreaded "flinch-miss."
Maybe that sister needs a nice new present under the tree!
