Symantec, the former best anti-virus, anti spam, ad blocker, has become an over bearing, inoperable joke and anyone who still uses their Norton system can probably not successfully turn on their computer as Norton blocks everything and really slows down the operating system.
With AVG or with the above mentioned ad block, you can block sites and ads, automatically and silently in the background without getting a screen prompt that freezes your computer and asks you inane questions every 5 seconds.
Firefox was great initially but it's starting to get hacked more and more, as are Mac systems as they become more popular.
I've gone back to IE with AVG and it works great, so solutions are out there for just about every operating system now, an aware user no longer has to "blame" the site, or the ads, just keep your own system upgraded and be aware.
