as you can see they do fine. the distributor is the lowest part of concern. Air intake is about chin high to me and I amabout 5'9". Or just a few inches below top of the hood. I have sumerged many times and only once in over 20 years killed it by wet distributor and had to be pulled out to dry it off. On the next offroad truck I will go with the M37 waterproof distributor.
