Note in the attached image that the back of the cab, and the rocker are different lengths. I think this is a WC-53 that was cut around the windshield frame, or the roof seam (since the military windshield hardware is still on it), and then a 2wd 39-47 truck cab roof and back of cab was added.
Judging by the door panels and the door handles the WC-53 doors were most likely used, with the upper corners cut off.
I have seen this done before to other WC-53s, WC-54s, and also 1/2 ton Carryalls and Ambulances.
It sure fooled me the first time I saw it done, as it was on a 1/2 ton, and everything looked right... That is until I saw the rear leaf springs were wrapped, which was only done on the Ambulance bodied trucks. A little more searching found all the welding seams, but it was a nice job.
