Didn't the factory go to an under-the-floor set up in the last years?

I did put a dual power w/ vacuum booster under mine. Pics are on Paul's Restoration Alley site, about # 70? But I am a little leery of using a 'pull' rod between the pedal and the bell crank. I think a 'push rod' would be less prone to fatigue in the long run...
