I jacked the '53 up by it's bumpers, which left he axles hanging by the springs. First un-hook the shocks. That left just enough gaps between the leafs to work some 90 wt in with a gnarly solvent brush. Then I could press on the tires and get the axles bouncing, to work the oil in. And I left the rear up on the jack overnight, hoping some oil would ooze in. Anyways, now I can rock the truck by hanging on a door, Before it was solid. I'll leave the shox off until the bouncing makes me sea sick, just to exercise the springs. Sure does ride nicer now. Maybe a second application of stink-lube in a couple days, before I clean up the slimey driveway?
