I think Chrysler had first hydraulic brakes. My first car was a 1929 Plymouth and it had hydraulic brakes. I believe it was the first Plymouth with them. It also had fiber disc universal joints. I was constantly looking in salvage yards for them as they were always tearing up. When the brakes went out(often) I would slow the car down in low gear, then put it in reverse and work my way into a curb to stop. This tore up the fiber universal joints. Now those were the days.
