It works exactly as designed which is mainly as additional gearing. for highway us. I would imagine that people that have dislikes about it have difficult expectations of it or conditions were they are worried about people behind them last I checked I pay lots of taxes and as long as I am driving at the minimum speed limit I dont care what the guy behind me is doing mostly. I bought in old truck cause i wanted to drive a old truck like all my other equipment having messed with these trucks for 12 years it was the best solution to my problems. I can drive on the interstates fairly well at least at 55 and yes some hills present problems but that can be corrected with driving expierance with this paticular set up. Your truck will do quite well with this set up. The main purpose of this set up was to reduce strain on the drive train and preserve the vehicle longer I average 3500 miles a year in this truck. My understanding is that Dennis may not be able to get these units anymore. Their are several people on this forum that have drove the truck including mr. pg who would be glad to comment.
