Not when making the plural of a model number that would be confusing, as in the example. There's always an exception to every rule.
Let's say we had a locomotive with the nomenclature "K4s". The plural might be "K4ss" but a better way to express it would be "K4s's."
The plural of Bloom is the Blooms, but the plural of Hodgkiss is the Hodgkiss's, not the Hodgkisses.
