The "Fleet"

Well, here they are, a pair of 57 Power Wagons! Matching patina and all.
I pulled the W's gas tank today, looked in the sending unit hole and it wasnt pretty! I ended up cutting about a 5x10 hole out of the top to allow access inside. There was from betweeen 1/2 and 3/4 inch layer of what looked like dryed roofing tar. I chipped and scraped it all out, it would have overflowed a shoebox. Once it was all scraped out I sandblasted it inside and out. The tank is now beautiful. I will get the patch welded back on, put in some tank sealer and be good to go. Even the suction tube was completely clogged with this stuff. I have never seen anything like it in a gas tank.
