snap ring tool

is there a tool to take these snap rings found in the FFPWs off with? They all seem to be this same design; no holes at the ends nd the ends tapered under at the gap.

The trans input/output shaft snap rings inside the trans case are in an obstructed location and I have, so far, been unable the reach them with any type tool.

anyone have any suggestions?
