Chrysler made just a couple fire trucks on the wc-62/63 chassis, WITH the straight eight. Pics were on here, long time back.
You could stretch the frame just behind the front springs, move fenders forward too. Then make a longer hood. Plus use one set of extra hood louvered sections, adding a section from the right rear to the left front, and visa-versa. Extend the louvered sections to the rear, and lower. Then stretch the running boards.
Perhaps an extra frame, hood and running boards would be all you'd need?
Or start with a 62/63, and move the cab back 9"? And make a custom bed? You might as well have extra wheels to handle that extra power...
