Years ago,I remember the fad of eliminating the vent window on the VW bug,and I renember seeing a WDX/WM-PW in the PWA with this done.Does anyone know how to do this correctly? I like the look,plus it mean one less point of entry! Also has anyone ever replaced their original door handle with the late model "flush-pullup type" or "handle w/thumb button type"? I was in the woods and a limb caught in my original and almost did real damage,had I not have been watching.Believe me,I would have never thought a limb that large could have gotten lodged in there.I assume the small end slid in first and was then driven in by the forward momentum of the truck.Anyway ,it got me to thinking about getting a second set of stripped down doors and doing this type of window/handle modification.
