Hello folks:
I recently bought a 55 Dodge C-1-PW PowerWagon. Yes I know that '55 had the C-3-PW, but the ID plate on the door says C-1-PW. It is titled as a 1955 tho..There is a Casting date on the cyl head of 11-16-54, So...I can bet the truck is a late '54 titled as a '55, or a very early '55...Well anyhow it is about 90% complete and the engine turns but I am not getting fire. I do have current going to the distributor but nothing going past it. I THINK I may have bought the wrong set of points for it. I have a .030 gap when I set them..the little adjuster screw wont let them get any closer. WHen I went to get points for it, I got the ones for the 12 volt distributor seeing that this truck has been changed over to 12 volts sometime in its life. Also how many diffrent sets of points are availible for a '55? What year did Dodge make 12 volts standard? THanks.
