I completed my ARB locker installation in the rear axle of my WC53. The only problem that I had was in adjusting the ring and pinion clearance. I used the original R&P with 9,000 miles on it. It looked great but apparently had a sightly odd wear pattern to it. I measured the clearance when I took the LocRite out and it was significantly larger than what it was originally set to.
The ARB was an easy install except for the above. It went right together and passed leak test the first time. I put the compresser in the battery box. The wiring harness was the perfect length for my truck. There is no extra coiled up any place and it was not short and I get to put the switches exactly were I want to.
This is the greatest improvement that I have done to my truck and I have done a lot this last year (Mopar will not recognize it at Hollister this year). The driveability on the road far exceeds what the LocRite had. It is no longer a pain to drive in a parking lot (no more axle wind up that trashes the drive line). No more moving to the right or left upon harder accelleration or decelleration (some times scarry at 60 MPH). It is a lot quieter also. It is really a pleasure to drive on the road now. I locked it in for a short time and yea I know that the axle is locked up. But that is a good thing.
