I have a 1960 IHC B140 with a 19 gallon fuel tank. I filled it up last spring, around March. I'm still able to go out and start it right up, drive it around with no problems whatsoever. That's with fuel that's well past 6 weeks old(actually approaching 6 months old), and it is fuel that was pumped out of a busy station's tank in 2007 so it's not some magical old fuel either.
Do I doubt it has degraded? No. Does the possibility of degradation cause me any concern? Well yes, but it has proven to be just fine(drove it 2 weeks ago).
I do use stabilizer in aux tanks and occasional use tanks but didn't expect to use the B140 so little so it didn't get any. At this point in time, it hasn't mattered.
