I agree with Todd about clear coat. PPG makes a product called 2040. It requires its own reducer and hardner. The P Sheet gives mixing directions that will allow you to control the finish. You can go from dead flat to a high gloss, depending on what you want. PPG 2040 is used in place of regular high gloss clear coat. I dont believe you want a high gloss clear on a preserved truck ?
I use the PPG 2040 on the black on my trucks.
My Bumblebee Black is Flat, My Carryall and M37 is mixed for a Satin.
