When we looked at your problem at the old gravel bank the following conditions existed on the front axle;
Transmission in Gear
T Case in 4 wheel Drive (unknown in 4lo or hi, makes no difference)
ARB Air Locker Engaged
Right and Left Superwinch Hubs in Lock Position
With the ARB Locker engaged the front differential should be totally locked ( Both axles out of the differential Locked, no different than a welded differential)
Yet, when you jacked up the front right wheel it would freely spin freely with a slight ratchet noise. Lower and jack up the left wheel and the exact same conditions were displayed.
This would indicate to me either;
The ARB Air Locker failed and did not lockup, or the Both Superwinch Hubs did not lock up. It would seem very strange that both hubs would fail at the same time. Unless somehow under load they backed out of the lock position.
I am really confused on what happened, does not make sense.
