correct fastener question for rear fenders/running boards

I know this is anal but I am striving for tyotal originality in my restoration of my C-3 PW-126.
I am mounting my running boards and would like to know which direction the bolts go on the running board /rear fender connection and if they are DPCD bolts. The parts book also lists a flat washer and lock washer - which way do they go and is the lock washer the perifery type? Do the square perifery washers go under the running board brackets? I also do not know what type of fastener is used to attach the rubber bumpers at the rear bottom corner of the hood. I have e-mailed two gents about this but thought I'd ask here also in case they don't respond. TIA
