My statement implied that all the tags were screwed until 1958, and then something else happened. You took that to mean not screws.
What I meant was that up until 1958 all the tags were screwed, and after 1958 they were riveted or screwed. Something that would not have been obvious to most people, and I should have been more careful with my writing.
I think my statement was correct as I said ALL tags until 1958, meaning that in 1958 and later not ALL tags were screwed, but I can see where it could be taken another way. My statement was not as clear as it could have been.
Thanks for the English lesson, I had to look that one up, and I am still a bit hazy about exactly what the phrase should have been. I was never that good at some of the finer points of the English language.
