like Cerberus are usually based on buying distressed companies at bargain price, hiring a "turnaround guy" to improve the bottom line, and then selling them to the public (or maybe to a competitor) in a few years at a good profit. There's nothing wrong with that if they can pull it off. The investors definitely don't want to lose their money so I think they'll give it their best shot. Ultimately, it's pretty simple: Chrysler has to make cars and trucks that people want to buy at a price that's profitable and that the customers can afford. If Home Depot's the model, I gotta say I'm not terribly optimistic, but I still with them luck.
