I watched the pros do it in Everett once. It took two guys two days to get a house 10' up in the air on 4 stacks of cribbing. They brought in 2 big I-beams on a flatbed truck, pulled them off of the truck by hand using rollers and got them under the house. The only power equipment involved was a hydraulic pump to work 4 hydraulic jacks that were tied to one manifold for even lifting. They asked the homeowner if he wanted the house leveled out, at the risk of cracking the plaster or breaking windows, or wanted the plaster saved, even though the house would still be crooked. He chose "level", but even then they barely cracked the plaster and didn't break any windows. It was really a beautiful thing to watch some real pros doing the job with very simple equipment, no big machinery, and perfect precision. If you ever need a house jacked up or moved in Everett, call J & K House Movers.
