Okay, I know that the front brake lines are supported by a spring from the underside of the fender. Mine have the springs and some wiry curlicue-looking clips. I've been told that not only should they be more of a metal clamp than a clip, there should also be yet another spring from below. Has anyone got a digital image or a diagram or something that I can go on to perfect this detail?

A pretty cool, little known detail that George Vest put into this vehicle is what must be a really rare sheet metal spacer that goes behind the seat. This spacer reduces the legroom and increases the trunk room by the same amount. This would have been common and practical in non-radio CC set-ups. I've never seen one. All the CC's I've ever seen have the seat shoved all the way back and the minimal trunk space. If anyone is interested, I'll be happy to supply dimensions. I'm going to have my local sheet metal shop copy this one for my other 41 restoration, and I'd be happy to get quotes for a multiple run. This part is so rare that John Bizal never heard of it and as a result couldn't get his interest in running them

For those of you with the 1/2-ton, it's a super touch. There's still plenty of leg room and now there's a rear shelf that didn't exist before behind the seat. I may mount an M-1 scabbard there. I've got a Thompson next to the driver, might as well give the back seat a fighting chance too.
