Hello Dodge Fans! :)
I Know This Isn't A Vintage Power Wagon But It Is An Antique At Least! I Thought Some Of You Might Just Appreciate This Fine Machine As Much As I Do!
I Ran Across This Beauty A Few Weeks Ago & Just Had To Have It! I Sacrificed A Chevy Tiara Conversion Van Just To Make This Deal Happen! This Bad Boy Only Has 17,222 Actual Miles On It! It Was Originally An Ambulance & Was Most Probably Stationed At Charleston Air Force Base. It Was Then Sold To The Charleston, S.C. Police Department In 1985 When It Had Less Than 10,000 Miles On It. It Was Then Converted To A Bomb Squad Vehicle, EDT Unit 342. It Was Used To Carry Their Robot Around Along With The X-Ray Equipment, Bomb Suit, Sand Bags, & Even A Bomb Sniffing Dog Sometimes! They Quiet Frequently Have To Detonate Ordinace, Usually From The Civil War, When It Is Dug Up During House Construction Or When They Are Installing Or Repairing Various Utilities Around Town. I'll Include The Link To The Charleston Police Departments Web Site So you Can Go & See It In Uniform & In Action Too!
It Has A 360 CI V-8 Gasoline Engine With A 3-Speed Transmission. It Is Very Heavy Duty & Features Dana 60 Axles Front & Rear! It Has An 11,000 lb. GVWR. It Also Has New Tires, Radiator & Gates Hoses/Belts. I Even Got The A/C To Blowing Cold Again! It Has High & Low Range Four Wheel Drive Settings & The Rear Axle Can Be Locked In 2-Lock Mode. You Will Probably Not Even Have To Lock It In Four Wheel Drive With The Rear In Posi Mode!
Anybody Out There With ANY Info On This W410 I'd Greatly Appreciate It! I Can't Find ANYTHING About It ANYWHERE I Look! It Would Be Really Cool To Get About 10 Of Us Together & Go Cruising Around Town In A Convoy! It Runs & Rides As New & Is Very Addictive To Drive. It Made Driving FUN For Me Again & You All Know The "Oh My God What's Wrong With Him" Look That I Get When I'm Out Riding Around In It!
For The People I Haven't Bored To Sleep Yet, I'll Let You Go, For Now! Best Wishes To Everybody & Their Families. Take Care, Jeff :)
