I saved quite a bit of money by buying a 12K rated trailer and just adding 14K running gear. Since I bought a 12K thats is what the Plate says its rated for. A true 14K Rated trailer built by Corn Pro has heaver chanel in the sides that I did not get with just the running gear option. The 12K rating is fine for my needs, and I have additional safety with the 14K running gear at a good cost savings. What the Data Plate is stamped is what you got.
