They seem to give a smoother ride. I never had any gripes with the STA's, they were a decent ride. These XZL's are even smoother. I har her up to 60 on a stretch of Iowa road and the truck was smooth, stable and reasonably quiet. I had a GPS in the windshield to determine the speed, as both the overdrive and the 1100s throw the speedometer off.
