Hi Chris,
Someone was watching out for you today!
I had a similar one about 10 years ago, I was moving tools into my new shop from a single axle enclosed trailer. The trailer had been backed partly into the garage area and unhooked from the truck. The trailers rear door was open in the garage. As the trailer got emptier the weight on the tongue was changing. Finally I climbed in for another load, my weight in the rear counterweighted the front and lifted the tongue jack. The trailer rolled out and across the driveway, the trailer door hit on something as it rolled by, closing it and leaving me in the dark for the ride. It went about 30 feet, felt like a mile, before I was able to get my (limited) wits about me and move forward to get the tongue jack to dig in. After it stopped I pushed the door open and climbed out. It had come to rest right between my Power Wagon and my daily driver, with about 6 inches to spare on each side. I couldnt have done it like that intentionally, thats for sure! It was a wild ride.
Tim
