I didn't say that. The event ya linked to has been goin on for some time. I think this was the 20th year of it. All in all, it coulda been much much worse, BUT, percautions were taken.
It WAS sad & unfortunate, but that guy was really cookin. It was an unfortunate ACCIDENT. Same coulda happened (and has) at a drag strip. The fact that ONLY 6 died shows conciderations WERE taken.
There's a commercial on TV (for some mortgage company) that says "People Are Smart". Not so, people are stupid. We're herd animals with herd instincts. You see it everyday. There's an accident on the road, and these damn vulture rubberneckers almost come to a complete stop JUST TO SEE IF THERE'S BLOOD or to check out the carnage.
Or at rock crawlin evets or road rallys, the people are crowding as close to the track as humanly possible to get a better view, & HOPE they can catch an accident (it's been proven that's why auto races are so popular).
Here in Illinoissssss, ya have to put a trigger lock on your guns when not in use (at a range or hunting). Oh, excuse me Mr Burgler, I'm half asleep and can't find my key to my shotgun, do you mind waiting a bit? That law was passed because to many kids were shooting themselves.
That's sad, but if ya have a gun & kids, you should teach em ALL ABOUT guns, and it's NEVER to early. As soon as they're able to get mobile, YOU should start teachin em & NEVER stop.
The phrase used below hits the nail right on the head, "COMMON SENSE". IF ya feel something is unsafe, DON'T GO! That should be a personal choice, not the governments.
What happened in TN IS very popular and has been growing in size every year. Again, it was an unfortunate accident. I'm sure the driver feels real bad, and will probably be havin mental trauma over this for many years to come. Killin someone AIN'T an easy thing to live with for most of us.
AGAIN, this was sad & unfortunate, and my heart goes out to the familys of the victims for their losses, but it WAS an accident.
Life has become pretty dull for a lot of folk. That's why there's things like Extreme Sports, parachutes, hang gliding, ect. I used to race Motocross but didn't like riding on the road as I felt THAT was to dangerous.
BTW AAA, this ISN'T meant as a bash or flame.
