winch bumper support brackets

I have a set that are rusty and pitted and I want to replace them. I see them offered in the catalog that just came but but I do not want substandard/thin material or ill fitting parts. Who has a set that are not pitted and are not bent by a chink? In light of shipping costs maybe I should just pay a local fab shop and help the local economy.
