I dont believe "I guess most people do not want to bother." is the case in all people. I for one have a serious concern putting any serial numbers on the World Wide Web. I will not ever put any of my truck serial numbers out in general public. The same as I would not put my firearm serial numbers on a gun forum registery.

In my opinion, there is to many bad people harvesting information. I will not make it easy to get my information. Thats just my feelings and I sure dont want to influence anyone in either direction.
