Mike, that's the third one I know about, the other two were running stock OEM wheels and tires.
I guess that's my point, if you have a GMC product with the IFS, change those rods out for something that won't leave you stranded. There are not too many ways to drive a vehicle with no steering control, it was a long day to get him home.
The aftermarket rods are 1" in diameter, that's about 4 times the mass of the stock arms.
