I hope the formatting of the charts come out okay.
The formula for finding out your engine displacement is:
(Stroke) x {(bore)[squared]} x 0.7854 (constant) x (no. of cylinders)
Plugging in the numbers for stock engine sizes:
Stock Stroke Bore Cyl. Disp. (ci)
218 4.375 3.25 6 217.624
230 4.375 3.25 6 230.208
251 4.5 3.438 6 250.649
265 4.75 3.438 6 264.574
Standard ring overbore sizes (thousands) are available in: 10 20 30 40 60
Just use the following chart to see what your new engine displacement would be with an overbore.
Stock 0.01 0.02 0.03 0.04 0.06
218 219 220 222 223 226
230 232 233 235 236 239
251 252 254 255 257 260
265 266 268 269 271 274
