Hi Will,
Right after I bought the trailer, I built new tail light mounts, used a piece of rectangular box tubing and installed sealed lights in it. Vermont also requires amber front corner markers which the trailer did not come with. I completely re-wired it, using Truck-lite components from the tractor trailer industry. Each light, or axle is a seperate home run to a central connector block. All of the connections that I made I soldered, swathed in di-electric grease and heat shrink tubing. They have worked very well so far!
I replaced the wood decking this weekend. The untreated pine was getting a bit sketchy in places. Now it has 2x10 pressure treated, should last me a lot longer.
Tim
