I too spent a great deal of time in bishop. There were many power giants owned by govenment/city agencies, and one flat fender owned by bishop fire dept. That weird old hermit Don Evans got a couple of em, I have one, and some as*hole in texas got the flatfender last year on ebay for close to 20,000 (4,300 orig miles, always inside..yikes). Cool thing about gov power wagons in the owens valley, they always seemed to have the 19.5 wheels. yum yum.
Do you remember the old bumper stickers"L.A. SUCKS" the owens valley dry. how about the sportsmans lodge across the street from schats bakery? or the copper kettle? or Juanitas bishop grill, when juanita actualy cooked the food herself? ahhhh, the good ol days. Anyway, glad to hear from another bishop person
