Anybody have any success repairing a crack in a plastic radiator tank? This is a car with 280,000 miles on it, so I'm only looking for a "field expedient", and do not intend to replace the radiator. I cleaned it thoroughly with lacquer thinner and put metal-filled epoxy over the crack, but the glue didn't seem to stick well enough and it leaks out from the edge of the patch. What kind of plastic is this? Is there a way to solvent-weld it? Thermally-weld it using a soldering iron and a plastic rod? Anything else anybody's used that stayed stuck for a while? Thanks!
