In 59-60 Dodge had a drop in replacement motor for the weaker 315 that 57-58 trucks came with. The replacement motor was a poly 318.

In the photo is a 318-poly that I found in a 58 dodge truck, note the little tag on the drivers side of the motor!

Didn't your 58 have a 360 in it?
