Alan, just read your wanted ad in the classifieds. I only bring this up becuase price questions come up all the time. In your ad you say you don't want to be extorted and will pay a fair price. Remember, you are looking for a 60 plus year old part (or 4 or 5 of them)made for a realtivly obscure vehicle, in good to better condition. A couple of years ago I got to thinking I needed combat wheels and started to gather up as many as I could. At that time they were going for $35 to $50 each in take off condition. You will have to factor in the price of labor to remove a 60 year old tire complete w/ run flat, replacement of at least a few broken studs(there are 10 per wheel) at $3 each, a few lost or damaged nuts (also 10 per ) at $1 each, sandblast and repaint at ??? $ each. Also figure in the shipping cost to get the take off wheel to you and then it may make more sense why the cost of a good to better combat wheel may seem like extortion but actually may not be. This response is in no way an attempt to start an argument. I just looked at it as an chance to air my views on why arts are sometimes more $$$ than we think they should be. Alan and I have never spoken about price of combat wheels. I wish you good luck in your search. Kurt
