The show didn't begin until 1979.

Among a number of cars I owned and drove to High School during 72-76 (67 Firebird, 69 Mach 1 438CJ, 67 GTO, 64 Impala, 67 Tempest, etc,,,) was a 1968 Chevy Corvair with a Rebel Flag painted on the roof.

Although the town I lived in (population 1500) Didn't much resemble the Dukes although the county was more backward than Hazzard.
