We've allowed ourselves to get to damned lazy, not get involved, and DEPEND on them to do stuff for US. Little Johnny messes up in school, it's the schools fault, it's not ours as parents.
The reason there's so many Dem's in office now is the the Repub's that were there before screwed up, or did ya forget? Surrender Iraq indeed. Because we went there for some BS reason, we're gonna lose the gains we made in Afghanistan.
I'm really scared that Maynard's gonna get drafted. Dave, I'm just sick and tired of hearin all these catchy little buzz terms. SICK, SICK, SICK! The blame game and fear mongering. It's all just ploys to sidetrack us from whats goin on.
Have you contacted your senator and congressperson about making English the offical language of the US (not that they'll listen)? Opinions are like buttholes, everybody has at least one. But like the man once said, "Don't ask what your country can do for you, but what YOU can do for your country."
Also, it's not something you can leave to PAST laruals, because they are just that, PAST. Our country is a living thing. It needs to be tended to daily (and in some cases, hourly or more).
Like many others here, I could say I used to do this, or I did that, but then I have to truthfully ask myself what I've done today to make things better. Complainin sometimes helps, but action always counts for more.
Blamin someone else for my problems doesn't work. I allowed it to happen. In the case of what's goin on with our country today, by either voting for the wrong person, or by not voting at all. Although our vote doesn't mean anything anymore as proven in the last 2 presidential elections.
Hate ain't the answer. All that does is create more hate. Callin someone a name don't work either, it creates hate too. If we don't like whats goin on, then WE have to do something about, no matter what your personal views are.
WE have to get involved, and support what are views are and not blame others for the problems. Remember, this country was set up to be run BY THE PEOPLE, not Dem's or Repub's. I just hope it ain't to late, and that WE THE PEOPLE haven't lost control. Uh Oh, that sounds kinda like a socialist diatribe, NOT my intent, cause I ain't one.
I apologize to all for spouting my views like this as I DID promise myself not to anymore, but I really get tired of seeing & hearing this BS about politics, and when I try and get people to stop beefing and do something, well, they're just to busy. Off my soapbox now and hopefully forever.
